When Troubles Arise, Keep Your Eyes on The Prize

Some of the events that are taking place in our society today has literally rocked many of us to the core. The rise of lawlessness, hatred and outright rebellion has caused some to question if God cares. We can’t help but wonder why these things are being allowed? Along with these issues, we are still left to face our own daily struggles in life.

The uncertainty of our future and stability of our families has caused some Christians to do the unthinkable, turn away from God. Some have turned from the faith and are now riding the wave of the world. They have given up hope and are seeking another way. The fact of the matter is we should never put our trust in people and a system that’s broken. The ways of man are unstable and cannot be trusted. The systems that are set up are not always intended for our good in God.

Fear is often our first response when we are faced with the difficulties of life. I would be lying to you if I told you that fear never found its way to my door. However, we cannot afford to back down nor stop trusting in God. The Lord is our only hope and is the only one who can make things better. If for some reason He doesn’t allow for things to go our way, we are still obligated to trust Him.

I want to encourage you and let you know that God is listening, and he cares. He is in control of everything that is going on and nothing ever comes as a surprise to him. We will face challenges in this life and sometimes we will suffer for doing the right thing. When we do, we cannot give up and lose hope. We must continue in the faith and learn from these things. Stay in prayer and ask God to guide you step by step. Then, when troubles arise, it will be easier for you to keep your eyes on the prize. What is the prize? It is living with God forever in a place free from sorrows, pain and suffering.
