What's The Formula

Formula: a method, statement, or procedure for achieving something…..

I’ve been asked how do I do it, how do I get through and I tell people, “It’s in God’s strength.” I just viewed my grandson for the last time on yesterday and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. In the midst of that, I still have other things popping off that would make some people lose their minds and even their faith. I admit I’ve had moments of doubt, fear, anger, frustration, wanting to give up and have felt like the walls were caving in on me. But the one thing I’ve stood firm on and has held me up; God is sovereign and he will see me through.

The “formula” that I use is; faith, prayer, praise and fellowship. Spending time in the Word of God equips me with knowledge and strengthens my faith. Praying about EVERYTHING, helps me to release my burdens and cares, freeing me to experience Gods peace. Giving God the praise despite what I face and have to go through, shows my love and devotion for who He is and not just for what he does. Because even in my pain and sorrow, He is still God and still good. Having fellowship with other believers gives me comfort and hope knowing that I’m not alone on this journey.

God has put some amazing people along my path in life and I’m truly grateful for them all. So if you’re down, I encourage you to try this “formula”. God will never fail and he’s always there for you. Continue to hold on and trust in Him.

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
