Stay Awake

Stolen moments happen when we sleep

Too tired to fight so we just let things be

Angry because we feel entitled and are hurt

Yet many are dying because we won’t stay alert

After it’s over what will you hear God say

Warnings are sounding each and every day

Aware but staying idle and lacking to care

Killing you slowly with each caress

Engaging in things that lead you to death

We’ve been rocked to sleep by the devil's lullabies and lies. But now is the time to wake up and be alert. Draw near to God and stay focused so you don’t miss out on your prize.

“How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?”
