In The Line Of Fire

Being saved and living for and in the Lord doesn’t exempt us from being attacked. I’d like to think that it would keep us from ever having to go through anything bad or undeserving. However, the truth is that we aren’t owed anything in this life from anyone or any source. While it would be a beautiful thing to never have to go through anything, it’s really what makes us who we ultimately become. It also helps to build our faith and dependence on God.
Attacks are inevitable but those whose trust is in the Lord are secure in him and have his protection. Weapons formed not prospering doesn’t mean that we won’t feel it or not be affected by it. I believe it looks deeper into the security of our souls. As believers we are anchored in the Lord. No test, trial, attack, enemy, or anything, can ever remove us from the Lord’s hands, or take away our eternal promise and hope. The Lord’s promises are sure and He will, yes He will….
“Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.”
Psalms 125:1 NLT
““God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.”
Matthew 5:11-12 NLT
“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.”
John 10:28-29 NLT
“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11, 16 NLT
“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT
