Chill and Be Still

There’s a constant battle going on in most of our minds and many of us are overstimulated and overloaded. We tend to think that we’re the only ones dealing with a particular situation, but in reality, we’re not. The fact is that most people have mastered making things look good from the outside, which has blinded us from seeing their true struggle. But if they really expose their truth, it will shock us and shake us to the core.
Measuring ourselves up to others will have us all over the place. We cannot afford to become frustrated or discouraged with who we are, where we are, or with what we have. Doing this only leads to envying, coveting, insecurity, inferiority, discontent, and possible rebellion against God.
So, stop tripping about your current state, and don’t worry about the prayers that seem unanswered or are taking too long to come to pass. Whatever spending time with God looks like for you, do it as often as you can, and set your heart to please Him. Then, completely trust Him and patiently wait while he’s working out the details of bringing it to pass.
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”
Psalms 37:4-5 NLT
“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:7 KJV
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
“So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.”
1 Peter 4:19 NLT
